craggy coastline of a breathtaking and remote island. To one side
are rugged mountain ranges and deep canyons; to the other, a vast
expanse of ocean teeming with playful dolphins and spirited
whales. Imagine darting into the mouth of a cavernous sea cave
only to find yourself surrounded by scores of seals and sea lions
welcoming you into their den. Now imagine this experience is just
within reach off the Santa Barbara coastﾅ and you could get there

The fun begins the minute you board the brand new Condor Express,
a 75-foot high-speed luxury catamaran that will whisk us over to
the Channel Islands in less than an hour, unless of course we see
an amazing pod of dolphins or slow down to enjoy the passing of a
mother whale  and
her calf. When we arrive at Santa Cruz Island, an experienced
guide will give you a brief kayak orientation, and then itﾒs into
a kayak you go. (Yes, even if youﾒve never kayaked before in your
life and have the athletic ability of a tree stump.) For the next
hour and a half, youﾒll explore the seldom-seen coastal caves of
western Santa Cruz Island at your own pace. Sure to blow your mind
is Painted Cave, one of the worldsﾒ largest and deepest sea caves,
aptly named for the rainbow of rocks, lichens and algae that line
its sweeping interior. As you cruise along, if the weather and
tides cooperate you may get treated to a dramatic water show, as
waves erupt through the breath-taking stone archways that line the
islandﾒs coast. When youﾒre done, turn your gear over to the crew
and sit back and enjoy a cocktailﾗand the relaxing ride home.
