The CONDOR is an 88ft. all steel vessel which has been in service in
Santa Barbara since it was launched in 1978. It is generally considered to
be one of the finest vessels of it's type. The vessel has been retrofitted
with a "dolphin bow" for exceptionally smooth riding characteristics.
The following is a run-down of the boat's qualifications:
- Coast Guard Inspected and Certified to carry up to 75
passengers 100 miles offshore and up to 125 passengers 20 miles offshore,
but should be considered for smaller groups who want safety, comfort and
facilities that only a vessel with CONDOR's size and equipment
can provide.
- All passengers are able to fit inside in case of inclement
weather
- Galley-Capable of serving full meals to 125 passengers.
The galley includes a full cocktail bar and is large enough to seat 45
persons comfortably. Food service may be arranged for individual menu
orders. Catering, including everything from light-snacks and box lunches
to a full sit-down-dinner, is also available.
- Power-Twin 8V92TA Detroit Diesels (400 HP each).
The CONDOR is proud to be running low-polluting, whisper-quiet,
electronically controlled diesel engines. These engines were
adapted for this boat under a cooperative government-industry
partnership called the "Clean Fuels and Energy Demonstration
Program" These "smokeless diesels" reduce air pollution
by 14 tons per year, and increase fuel efficiency by 10-25%
