OPEN PARTY - Arguello Canyon Trip

OPEN PARTY TRIPS: Pick your dates and be sure to join us on the all new CONDOR EXPRESS for an unparalleled pelagic birding experience!  Captains Fred Benko, Ron Hart and Mat Curto have over 50 years combined experience operating in these waters. Todd McGrath will be our main trip leader. Also joining us as are cetacean experts Bernardo and Diane Alps from the American Cetacean Society.

San Miguel & Richardson's Rock Trip: This trip departs at 7am from the Sea Landing in the Santa Barbara Harbor. We head over to the waters off San Miguel Island and around Richardson's Rock. We will return around 4pm. Cost for this trip is $110 and reservations can be held with a 25% deposit (refundable only if we cancel).

Arguello Canyon Trip: This trip depart from Sea Landing in the Santa Barbara Harbor early enough (5am) so that we arrive on the Arguello Canyon near daybreak and the fun begins! We'll run from there to an area west of Richardson's Rock off San Miguel Island just before sunset. This area has been full of last minute surprises in the past!

We finish with a fine dinner, a glass of wine or cocktail from our full bar and talk of the day's sightings as we make way for home. This trip will be $175.00 per person, food NOT included and reservations can be held with a 25% deposit (refundable only if we cancel).

Reservations for open party pelagic birdwatching trips can be made by contacting Sea Landing  at 1-(888)77-WHALE and can be paid for over the phone by credit card with either Visa, Discover or MasterCard

Checks can be made out and mailed to Sea Landing, Breakwater / c/o CONDOR Express / 301 West Cabrillo Blvd. / Santa Barbara, CA. 93101

TBA: Los Angeles Audubon Society (LAAS) is proud to offer two pelagic bird trips this year with the Los Angeles Audubon Society (LAAS). The first will be TBA, a  run to the Cherry, Tanner, & Cortez banks (weather allowing as usual)! These warm water banks rise up out of very deep surrounding water and are key spots for feeding and transient birds. Be sure to make this great trip. Departs at 7am and returns around 7pm.

The second trip with the LAAS on TBA will be a shorter day with us checking out the rich waters around San Miguel Island and west of Richardson's Rock. On a similar trip last year we saw two Red-billed Tropic Birds and several Wilson's Petrals off Richardson's and Bullard's Shearwaters! This is prime birding and just a little over an hour's ride out on the CONDOR EXPRESS.

Prices on these trips set are set by LAAS
